A second man has been arrested over the shooting of Des "Tuppence" Moran.
Victoria Police said the 45-year-old Myrniong man was expected to be charged with one count of murder.
Purana detectives had seized items, including a vehicle, from his home.
Police said the man was expected to face an out-of-sessions hearing at the Melbourne Custody Centre tonight, where police would apply for him to be remanded in custody.
Mr Moran's sister-in-law, gangland widow Judy Moran, 64, and family friend Suzanne Kane, 45, have both been charged with murder.
Ms Kane's boyfriend Geoffrey Armour, 43, was also charged with the murder of Mr Moran, who was gunned down by two gunmen at the busy Ascot Pasta and Deli Cafe in Ascot Vale at lunchtime on June 15.
Judy Moran's husband Lewis Moran was shot dead in a Brunswick bar in 2004.
Murdered Matthew Fisher-Turner sported the tattoo “family first” on his right arm.
