Teens charged over robberies

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with a string of offences including aggravated robbery, criminal damage by fire and distributing child exploitation material.

The Gosnells boy is one of four teenage boys charged yesterday during an investigation by police into robbery offences across the South East Metropolitan District.

Police said the offences occured between April 18 and 21, during which the alleged offenders rode off-road motorcycles.

"It is alleged the offences were committed by up to four people utilising two off-road motorcycles targeting vulnerable victims including female juveniles and a disabled man," a WA Police spokeswoman said.

Armadale Detectives yesterday searched a house in Bert Street, Gosnells.

"It is further alleged that during the search police located and seized a number of items relating to the investigation into the robbery offences," the spokeswoman said.

The 13-year-old boy has been charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and one count each of stealing a motor vehicle, criminal damage by fire, stealing and distributing child exploitation material.

A 16-year-old Gosnells boy has been charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and one count each of stealing a motor vehicle, criminal damage by fire and stealing.
Both boys are due to appear in Perth Children's Court today.

A 15-year-old boy is expected to appear in Perth Children's Court today charged with breaching bail.

A 15-year-old Brookdale boy has been charged with one count each of burglary and stealing and is due to appear in Armadale Magistrate's Court on May 4.
