Armed intruder evades police
An armed man remains on run after a day-long manhunt in Victoria Park.
Police converged on a street in Victoria Park after units and a car were broken into early this morning.
On resident of an apartment complex told police he was at home when a person broke in armed with a gun and taser.
Police swarmed the area to search properties with support from the canine squad and the police air wing joined the manhunt.
The wanted man is thought to be aged in his mid-20s, with a pale complexion, dark hair, skinny build and dark eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with cream stripes on the front, dark trousers and runners.

Anyone who sees the man or has information can call police on 131444.

Another man was arrested after being discovered in the back yard of Victoria Park property, but he was not believed to be linked to the earlier burglary spree.
