Police raids net $120k drug haul

Police have uncovered three alleged improvised drug sites and seized drugs worth more than $120,000 in the State’s south.

Organised Crime Squad officers have charged 14 people with 47 offences after they executed 17 search warrants in the Albany and Denmark area between Monday and Thursday.

The searches were part of an operation targeting mid-level drug dealers.

Officers seized 60 grams of methylamphetamine, believed to be worth at about $16,000, 681 grams of cannabis, worth about $8000, 25 cannabis plants, worth about $62,500, 28 grams of synthetic methylamphetamine, worth about $16,000 and a hydroponic, valued at about $7500.

Police also seized 272 rounds of ammunition, valued at about $1000, $6220 in cash, 18 smoking implements, a taser torch, explosives, a tri-blade knife and a replica firearm.

Officers have also frozen the assets of a $700,000 home while they continue to investigate.
