Charlotte's run reward

Kicking off her trainers at the end of the HBF Run for a Reason will be a rewarding moment for young Charlotte Jobling.

Not only will the cerebral palsy sufferer be running without the splint she has worn for most of her life, but for the first time she also will be able to replace her sports shoes with a pair of delicate "girly flats" at the finish line.

Charlotte, her younger brother Bryn and parents Georgina and Alistair, have raised enough money in sponsorship to buy the 10-year-old a new device that will change the way she walks. The device, which straps to her leg, will help Charlotte overcome her walking difficulties.

The family will take part in the 4km run from Gloucester Park on May 25.
