Two boys have been charged over a pursuit through the Great Southern at the weekend.

It is alleged the teenagers stole the car from a grandmother parked in an Albany shopping centre on Saturday night.

The chase led police 155km along Albany Highway and only ended when the teenagers crashed at Kojonup.

A 15-year-old boy, of East Victoria Park, has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, exceeding the speed limit, no authority to drive, dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm and failing to stop.

He will appear in the Albany Children's Court today.

A 14-year-old boy, of Bentley, has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and will have a bedside hearing from Royal Perth Hospital today.
