Update, 1.30pm: A Coca Cola truck stolen from a Kalgoorlie depot overnight has been found on fire in Kwolyin.

Firefighters are on their way to the scene, near the intersection of Kwolyin West Road and Frost Road, about 420km west of Kalgoorlie.

The burning truck was reported about 12.40pm.

Kalgoorlie Detectives are calling for the public’s assistance with their investigation into the theft of the truck.

A police spokeswoman said there was no stock on board at the time.

Between 7pm and 7.20pm last night, an offender or offenders forced entry into Kalgoorlie Freightlines on Williams Street by smashing an office window to the premises.

Once inside, keys to the vehicle were stolen and used to access the truck which was driven through a set of metal gates, causing significant damage.

The vehicle is described as a Mercedes truck, registration number 1DOZ129 bearing Coca Cola insignia.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
