Two Singaporean military aircraft were forced to make an emergency landing at Kalgoorlie Airport earlier today.

It is understood a warning light in one of the jets prompted the pilots to follow protocol and land at the nearest airport.

The four Singaporean pilots were on their way to the Avalon International Airshow in Victoria.

Kalgoorlie-Boulder emergency services scrambled to the runway, but the jets touched down smoothly.
