A 65-year-old pedestrian who was hit by a car in Coolbinia yesterday has died.

A police spokesman said the man died in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital overnight.

Major Crash investigators are calling for witnesses to the crash which happened on Carnarvon Crescent, near Elstree Street, about 6.50am.

The man, who was walking his dog on Carnarvon Crescent , sustained critical injuries when he was struck by a white Mercedes sedan as he crossed the road.

Travelling in an easterly direction ahead, of the Mercedes, was a small silver sedan and a Transperth bus.

Police would like to talk to the driver of the silver sedan, who may have seen the crash or the pedestrian, immediately prior to the crash.

Police would also like to speak with the driver of a small white sedan that was travelling west on Carnarvon Crescent that stopped at the scene immediately after the incident.
