A West Leederville man has been charged with deprivation of liberty relating to his two passengers after a police chase overnight.
Police allege that at around 8.45pm, a Holden Commodore carrying three people failed to stop for police on Epsom Avenue in Belmont.
"Police pursued the vehicle through the Belmont and St James areas, before a stinger was deployed at the intersection of Hilllview Terrace and Berwick Street in St James," a police spokeswoman said.
"The vehicle was forced to stop and three people were taken into custody."
A 35-year-old West Leederville man has been charged with failing to stop, a driving offence and two counts of deprivation of liberty in relation to his passengers.
He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A 42-year-old Ellenbrook woman has been charged with possessing heroin with intent to sell or supply,
possessing methylamphetamine, possession of cannabis and possessing a prohibited weapon.
She will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on March 1.
The third person in the car, a 29-year-old man, was released without charge.
