A 41-year-old Kewdale man has been charged over robberies at two service stations on Monday.

The man allegedly threatened an attendant a service station on Orrong Road in Kewdale and allegedly stole cigarettes from behind the counter at 10.25pm.

At about 11.40pm, the man allegedly returned to the service station and forced open the locked doors before demanding money from the attendant.

To avoid the man, the attendant locked himself in the staff toilets.

Unable to obtain any money, the man left the store.

Five minutes later, the man allegedly entered a different service station on Kewdale Road and hreatened the attendant while armed with a dustpan he had found in the store.

He allegedly demanded money from the till and was given cash before he fled the scene.

Yesterday, the 41-year-old man was arrested at his Kewdale home and has been charged with aggravated armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and stealing.

He will appear in Perth Magistrate's Court today.
