Police have charged a 31-year-old motorcyclist after a chase in Gosnells last night.

Police said it was understood the man, failed to stop for police on Corfield Street at about 12.30am.

This led to a short pursuit through the suburb which ended when the motorcycle drove across the pedestrian crossing at Seaforth Train Station.

The bike was then spotted but police lost site of it, before finding it again abandoned on Wheatley Street.

The Gosnells man, found walking along Ilma Street and has been charged with no Authority to drive, failing to stop and reckless driving.

His motorcycle was also seized.

The man will appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on February 28.
