NRL player stood down over doping: report

A National Rugby League player has become the first to be stood down over doping allegations since the release of an Australian Crime Commission report into drugs in sport last week.

News Limited is reporting South Sydney-listed Curtis Johnson has been suspended from all training and club activities after the club was contacted with information relating to his alleged use of performance enhancing drugs including steroids and peptides.

The 23-year-old has spent much of his time playing in the reserve-grade NSW Cup with Rabbitohs feeder club North Sydney Bears.

He has reportedly not returned a positive drug test.
