A Mirrabooka man is facing a string of charges after an alleged rampage through Perth's northern suburbs last night.

The violence started at Balga IGA just after 6pm, when the 43-year-old allegedly became involved in an altercation with two men.

Sgt Gerry Cassidy said he allegedly broke one man's jaw, before smashing a bottle into the other man's face and driving away.

He then returned to his Allamanda Gardens home and started arguing with his partner, who tried to flee the house.

The man allegedly got into his Toyota Landcruiser and ran down the 35-year-old woman, pinning her against a parked car.

She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for surgery, where she remains in a stable condition.

The man is due to appear at Perth Magistrate's Court today on charges including two counts of grievous bodily harm and two counts of excess .08.
