A teenage boy is in hospital with head injuries after reportedly being left unconscious from an assault at the Perth Train Station this afternoon.
It is understood the victim was knocked out when he was felled by a blow to the back of the head shortly after 3pm outside the station on Wellington Street.
Police released a brief statement this afternoon confirming the boy had been taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
It is believed his injuries "are not life threatening".
According to the statement, police are looking for two male offenders, both of whom possibly boarded a bus from the station in the moments after the incident.
The offenders have been described as between 16 and 18 years old, having dark to olive skin and wearing light coloured clothing.
Adam Marshall, who witnessed the incident, said it flared quickly and appeared to be over a dispute about a skateboard, which the victim had been riding.
Anyone with information has been asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or police on 131 444.
