Police are calling for witnesses to a crash in Kwinana Beach that killed a 48-year-old man at the weekend.

The man was driving a white Holden Rodeo utility on Rockingham Road when his vehicle left the road about 2km south of the Anketell Road intersection and crashed into a tree about 4.15am on Saturday.

He died at the scene.

Police believe the man had driven from the Fremantle area.

They want to speak to anyone who may have witnesses the crash or saw the utility travelling between Fremantle and Kwinana Beach between 1am and 4am.
