Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman in Karrinyup.

Dempster Street has been sealed off as officers investigate.

Police say the woman's death is not suspicious. A man, who is understood to be the woman's partner, has been taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Forensic officers and the police Major Crime Squad are at the scene.

The death was reported at 9am today by the couple's children.
