An 18-year-old's car was stolen yesterday after she was dragged from the driver's seat while trying to leave the Joondalup Shopping Centre.

The woman left the shopping centre and got into her 2007 blue Toyota Corolla about 6pm.

When she started the ignition, the offender opened her unlocked door and told her to get out of the car.

The woman stayed in her seat and tried to close the door but the man grabbed her arm and dragged her from the vehicle.

The offender then drove away in her car and was last seen heading towards Shenton Avenue.

He is described as 25 to 30 with fair complexion, several tattoos and short brown hair.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

The car’s registration number is VP6127.
