A man has reportedly drowned at a remote beach 110km east of Esperance.

Emergency services received a call just after 3pm that a man had died off the south coast of WA.

Esperance police, State Emergency Service volunteers and volunteer paramedics are at the scene but communications in the area are limited.

It is still unclear what the man had been doing when he got into trouble.

In a separate incident, Rockingham sea rescue volunteers have rescued two people after their boat flipped near Garden Island about 5.45pm.

It is understood the pair onboard called for help when the vessel began taking on water. The boat then apparently capsized.

The two onboard are now safe, police said.
