Eight people are being questioned by police over a discovery of items believed to have been used to manufacture drugs south of Armadale.

Police were led to the items at a property on South Western Highway, near the Dickens Place intersection, in Mt Richon after patrolling officers spotted a stolen car there about 9.30am.

The suspicious items were found in a shed at the rear of the property.

The organised crime squad’s chemical operations team is at the property investigating.

The regional operations group was also called to the scene so investigators could use its new police transport vehicle, which is used on weekends to arrest troublesome youths at parties.
