A Thornlie man has appeared in court charged over an alleged glassing at the Crown Casino earlier this month.

Glen James McCormick, 19, appeared in the Perth Magistrate's Court this morning charged with unlawful wounding over the December 1 incident in Burswood.

Mr McCormick was charged by Kensington Detectives after he was allegedly involved in an argument with a 22-year-old man and hit him in the face with a glass.

The man, who received cuts to his face, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

In court this morning, Mr McCormick's lawyer Patti Chong indicated her client would be pleading not guilty until it was known what evidence police had and she requested that police provide her with the CCTV footage.

Mr McCormick was released on bail, which included a condition not to go to the Crown Casino entertainment complex, ahead of his next court appearance on February 26.
