Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside a burnt-out home in Gosnells last night.

Firefighters were called to the Bexley Street home about 8.45pm.

When the fire was brought under control, the body of a 54-year-old man was found inside the property.

Neighbours, who did not want to be identified, said the man had lived at the house for about four years.

Officers from the arson squad were examining the house last night.
