Woman charged over $28k drug bust

A Broome woman will appear in court on Monday after police seized a package containing $28,000 worth of drugs at Broome Post Office.

Detectives intercepted a suspicious-looking parcel from Broome Post Office on Tuesday morning containing 27 grams of methylamphetamines.

Thi My Huong Do, 26, was arrested when she allegedly collected the package.

Detectives traced the package to an address in Roebuck Estate and conducted a search of the vehicle and a property. Police located more than $4000 in cash along with other drug paraphernalia.

Ms Do was charged with attempt to possess prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply.

She made a brief court appearance yesterday and was bailed to appear before a magistrate on Monday.
