Visitors to Karijini National Park are being warned of a bushfire in the area.
The fire was reported about 11.15am yesterday and is burning on the southern side of Karijini Drive, 21km east of the turn-off for Mt Bruce.
The blaze has burnt through 2000ha of bush and is suspected to have been caused by sparks from a passing truck with a punctured tyre.
Fire crews from Department of Environment and Conservation are battling the blaze and people are advised to stay alert, monitor their surroundings and watch for signs of bushfire.
No roads are closed but motorists travelling on Karijini Drive between Tom Price and the Great Northern Highway are advised to be cautious and aware of potential smoke hazards as well as emergency services personnel working at the site.
