A 42-year-old Dudley Park man suffered a cut to the face after being glassed by a group of youths outside his home last night.

About 8:30pm, the man and his wife heard the sound of glass breaking outside their Coodanup Drive home.

When he went to investigate one of the group, who it is believed were refused entry to a nearby party, struck him with a bottle.

St John's Ambulance officers attended and treated him for a deep cut above the left eyebrow and swelling to his cheekbone.

The offender is described as being male, about 16 years old, with a fair complexion and slim build. He is approximately 178cm tall with short, wavy blondish-brown hair.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
