Defender Dylan Roberton has failed to join the rest of Fremantle's younger players for the start of pre-season training after failing in his bid to be traded back to Victoria last month.
Roberton asked to return to his home state for personal reasons, but the Dockers offered him a new contract after they couldn't organise a trade.
He wasn't at Fremantle Oval this morning and looks destined to leave the club.
Small forward Michael Walters returned to training early after missing most of last season because of a club suspension.
Walters was entitled to another week's holiday but wanted to start training today. He looked fit and ready for a strong season.
Anthony Morabito did gym work as he recovers from a second knee reconstruction.
