Marg River link to Belanglo body

Police are appealing for public help to identify a woman whose body was found in bushland notoriously linked to serial killer Ivan Milat.

Detectives believe the mystery woman may have lived and worked in Margaret River in the 10 years before the discovery of her remains in Belanglo State Forest, New South Wales, in 2010.

She may have been a backpacker or worked in a vineyard and may have been of German or European descent.

The woman's body was found by trail bike riders on August 29, 2010, near Daly's Pool in Belanglo State Forest.

The forest is the same area where seven young victims of Milat were found in the 1990s.

Police believe the woman was aged between 13 and 25 and may have died within the last 10 years.

A distinctive T-shirt sold in NSW in the early 2000s was also found at the site, with the word Angelic written on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
