A large shark is feeding about 100m off a popular Rottnest Island swimming spot this morning.
Surf Life Saving WA says the three-metre great white shark was spotted about 9.45am off Fays Bay, which is a small secluded beach in between Geordie and Longreach bays.
Rottnest Rangers have close beaches on the area.
A shark has also been detected off Garden Island this morning.
The northern Garden Island receiver was set off by a tagged great white shark twice, at 10.07am and 10.12am.
