Both of them pack a punch with their colourful moves across an expanse of canvas, one with a paintbrush and the other with boxing gloves.

Mandurah boxer Naomi Lee Fischer-Rasmussen, Australia's first female Olympic boxer, is one of the inspirations behind Sydney pop-artist Johnny Romeo's latest exhibition Bloodsport.

"Johnny has captured the intensity of the ring," said Fischer-Rasmussen, who opened his exhibition at Buratti Fine Art in North Fremantle on Friday night. "Artists often see what other people don't."

Fischer-Rasmussen lost in her first bout at the London Olympics and is focused on qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Bloodsport ends November 28.
