Woman charged after taxi attack
Police are still looking for this woman who they believe could help with their investigation.

A Thornlie woman has been charged after a taxi driver was allegedly attacked in Joondanna last Friday.

Police allege the taxi driver was waiting for a passenger at about 4.30pm when two women, who pulled up alongside the taxi in a white Hyundai Excel, assaulted him.

The car was allegedly carrying two men and two women.

Police said the driver managed to leave the taxi but was assaulted by two men with a baseball bat.

The taxi was also allegedly stolen and recovered nearby.

Police said information from the public helped detectives arrest two men and a woman. The men had since been released pending further investigation.

The 20-year-old Thornlie woman has been charged with aggravated robbery and stealing a motor vehicle. She is due to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court tomorrow.

Police say they are still looking for a woman they believe can assist with their investigation.
