Police are calling for help in their search for a 12-year-old boy who went missing from his Wanneroo home yesterday.

They say they have concerns for his welfare because he has the mental age of about seven and may be concerned and frightened.

It is also likely he is exposed to the cold and wet weather overnight.

The boy, Blake William Wells, was last seen at his home on Bowmore Drive home about 5pm yesterday.

He is 161cm tall with a slim build, short brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion.

He was wearing a purple T-shirt, blue shorts, a blue school uniform jacket and white running shoes.

Anyone who has seen Blake or who has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 131 444.
