Man wanted over nightclub attack
Police say both of these men can assist their investigation into the nightclub assault.

Police are searching for a man they believe was involved in a serious assault on a 22-year-old patron at a Perth nightclub at the weekend.

The victim, who was celebrating his 22nd birthday, was walking through the bar area at Tiger Lils nightclub on Murray Street when he became involved in discussion with another man some time between 11.30pm and midnight on Saturday.

He said today he would not return to the city at night.

Russell was celebrating his birthday with a group of about 30 friends at the bar on Saturday night when he accidentally bumped a fellow patron.

Despite opening his wallet and offering him $50 to replace his spilled drink, the offender demanded Russell go to the bar and buy him the drink.

When Russell explained he was trying to find his girlfriend who had organised the surprise birthday party the offender turned violent, punching the 22-year-old in the face, knocking him to the ground.

Russell has had surgery to have two metal plates inserted in his jaw. He cannot eat and will be on a liquid diet for six weeks.

Detective Senior Constable Jason Filgate said the attack was "unprovoked and unwarranted".

He said he hoped two men snapped by the bar's social photographer on the night come forward to help shed some light on the attack.

Russell said he felt in was in the best interests of the men captured in the photo to contact police.

Police say both men may be able to assist their investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
