UPDATE: A four-year-old boy who wandered away from his family near Pemberton this morning has been found safe and well.

The boy’s family was visiting the Gloucester National Park, about 280km south of Perth, when the toddler wandered off.

The boy, named Juan, was found about 5km from where he was last seen at renowned karri tree the Gloucester Tree about 11.30am.

A land search involving the boy’s parents, local police and the police helicopter located the boy just after 3pm.

The boy was taken to Pemberton Hospital after being reunited with his mother.
