Hunt for Perth attackers
The victim received serious facial injuries in the attack.

A 27 year old Irish man who was bashed by two men who asked for a cigarette said he believed his attackers were out for trouble.

Michael, a father-of-one who did not want his surname published, received serious facial injuries from the attack which occurred while he was having a smoke on a friend's front verandah on Palmerston Street between 3am and 4am on Sunday.

Michael said he had gone outside for a cigarette when two dark-skinned males approached.

He said he would have offered them a cigarette but was out, which led the men to launch a brutal attack.

The men repeatedly kicked Michael while he was on the ground.

The men took cash and a lighter from the man and fled the scene.

A female friend who was at the house found him lying on the ground and bloodied, and called an ambulance for help.

He was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with serious facial injuries.

Michael described the attack as "annoying" but urged anyone with information to come forward as he believed the attackers may strike again.

Michael is a welder who has been living in Perth about 18 months, and he said the experience had not soured his view of Perth.

Police are looking for men pictured in CCTV images who they believe could help with their investigation.

Those with information are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police are looking for the men pictured in relation to a violent Perth robbery.
