A 47-year-old man has died after he was stabbed at a home in Scarborough last night.

Police were called to a property in Gildercliffe Street about 6.30pm.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital under priority conditions.

It is understood he died of his wounds at hospital.

Forensics officers were at the home until late last night examining the scene.

At one point they were examining a pair of boots on a driveway.

A woman, believed to be the man’s partner, was distraught and could be heard screaming.

Police this morning charged a 50-year-old man with grievous bodily harm.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court later today.
