Police have arrested a man after they were called to a party in City Beach overnight.

About 9.30pm a public disorder incident was reported at a house on Challenger Parade.

The complaint included excessive noise coming from a party, with large numbers of people in the street and bottles being thrown at vehicles.

While closing down the party police arrested a 19-year-old man over the theft of a laptop from the house.

Police will allege that after searching the man's backpack they located a number of stolen mobile phones, purses, wallets, a laptop and a quantity of cannabis.

The man has been charged with 12 counts of unlawful possession, six of receiving/stealing, providing false details and possessing a prohibited drug.

He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrate's Court on September 27.
