Man attacked at Brigadoon party

Arson Squad Detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in Kelmscott overnight.

Officers were called to a small grocery store on the Brookton Highway about 1.45am where the blaze is believed to have caused extensive damage.

A crime scene is currently in place.

Detectives are investigating a serious assault in Brigadoon last night where a 17-year-old man received serious injuries after being assaulted at a party.

Officers were called to an address on Tarbenian Way shortly before 9.30pm where the man sustained serious facial injuries during the assault.

He was taken to RPH where he will undergo surgery.

In Carlisle, two 19-year-old-men are were arrested overnight following an assault on a 61-year-old taxi driver.

It's alleged the men assaulted the driver with a bottle after getting into his taxi near the Oats Street
train station.

The victim was taken to RPH where he was treated for non-life threatening head injuries.

No charges have been laid as yet.

Shortly after midnight, officers including the Police Dog Squad attended an address in Pintaclo Way

Canning Vale in response to a disturbance.

Approximately 50 people were outside the residence, some allegedly throwing bottles on to the road
and into a neighbouring pool.

The group was moved on without incident and three move on orders were issues. No arrests were made.
