Police probe Mosman park fire death

Police have appealed for help in their investigation into the suspicious death of a 31-year-old man found in a burnt out Mosman Park unit last week.

Damian Andrew Noakes' body was found after fire destroyed his Gibbon Street unit about 4.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

It is understood he had several stab wounds. An autopsy was done yesterday to try to determine how he died but results are not known.

Major crime squad detectives are investigating the movements of Mr Noakes in the period leading up to his death and would like to speak to anyone who knew the 31-year-old and who may have seen or spoken to him recently.
