Police were pelted with bottles as they broke up a wild party in Eden Hill last night.

A police spokeswoman said officers had been called to a property in Watkins Street about 8:15pm following reports that a teenager had been injured at the party.

When police arrived they found about 100 youths gathered at the address and in the street. Several revellers threw bottles at the officers.

The officers called for back up and a large contingent of police, including representatives from the mounted section arrived at the address at closed down the party.

Police could not find any evidence of that a partygoer had been injured.
