Television presenter Larry Emdur's show The Price is Right will not return in 2013.

After the Seven Network announced its decision, Emdur joked on Twitter: "The worst thing about Price is Right being axed is now the tattoo on my chest that says "LOWER" makes absolutely no sense at all. #2soon (sic)?"

The show had been back on Australian screens for 12 months.

A Seven spokesperson told AAP the show would not go back into production this year and all episodes that were made in 2012 had already aired.

It means all the contestants who appeared on The Price Is Right will receive their prizes.

The demise of The Price Is Right, which was revived after a seven-year break, will mean Emdur will focus on The Morning Show, which he co-hosts with Kylie Gillies.

"Larry is highly valued and is concentrating on The Morning Show, but there will be other things for him to do throughout the year," the spokeswoman said.

The Price Is Right was screened at 5pm weekdays.

That time slot has been swallowed up by an hour-long news service which starts at 4.30pm and leads into Deal or No Deal, hosted by Andrew O'Keefe.
