Seven News reporters Blake Johnson and Samantha Jolly will fill the seat left by Emmy Kubainski as the network's new weekend presenters.
Kubainski announced this month that she would return to her home city Brisbane next year.
Johnson, who has worked as a reporter for six years, has most recently filled in for Natalia Cooper presenting Seven's 4.30pm news and weather.
The 27-year-old said it was an honour to be asked to anchor the weekend news.
"I grew up watching Seven News Perth and now I'll be reading it on the weekends - it's a huge honour and a really exciting opportunity," Johnson said.
"I think to be a good presenter, you need to be a good journalist first. Having a good grounding in reporting - doing live crosses from the helicopter, chasing criminals outside court, speaking to families, speaking to politicians - it all makes you a better presenter."
Jolly, who gave birth to son Harrison five months ago, is on maternity leave.
A journalist for more than 12 years, Jolly started her career in radio before joining Seven News three years ago.
"I'm loving motherhood but I am excited to come back to work and really sink my teeth into presenting," Jolly said.
Seven News director Howard Gretton said the weekend bulletin would continue with one reader, with Johnson and Jolly sharing duties across the year.
