Top cast locked in
Danielle Cormack (Underbelly Razor, Rake) amd Aaron Jeffrey (Underbelly Badness, McLeod’s Daughters) star in Foxtel's new series Wentworth.

A stellar Australian and New Zealand cast will appear in Foxtel's new TV drama Wentworth, which is a reimagining of the iconic 80s series Prisoner.

Set in a women's prison, Wentworth follows the allegiances and tensions of the inmates and corrective staff.

WAAPA graduate Shareena Clanton makes her acting debut as young Aboriginal woman Doreen Anderson, joining a raft of actors including Danielle Cormack (Underbelly Razor), Celia Ireland (All Saints), Kate Atkinson (Offspring) and Aaron Jeffery (Underbelly Badness).

Production for the 10-part series kicks off in Melbourne next week, with the show expected to air on Foxtel's SoHo channel some time next year.
