Actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth is leaving her recurring role on The Good Wife after sustaining an injury on the set of the popular TV show.
The Tony-winning broadway star was struck by a piece of lighting equipment while on the Brooklyn set of the US drama in July.
Chenoweth, 44 , was rushed to hospital after collapsing on the scene and has since been recovering at home.
"It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife," Kristin told People magazine.
"[I'm] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern."
Chenoweth has been using Twitter periodically over the past few weeks to let fans know how she's recovering.
"Today not best 'pain' day. Remaining positive. (I think) (sic)," she tweeted last week.
Although Chenoweth won't be returning to the cast, she will appear on the season premiere of The Good Wife that will air on September 30.
Chenoweth played a reporter on The Good Wife.
