Big Brother gets ready to roll

Nine's revamped Big Brother, hosted by Sonia Kruger is beginning to heat up ahead of its post-Olympics return.

Last week, the top 25 selections from the 20,000 people who auditioned nationwide were flown to a secret studio location for photo shoots and screen testing.

"Among them were several West Australians, and producers are optimistic that we'll see at least one of them in the Big Brother House when it launches on August 13, if not more," a Nine source said.

"The new Housemates will be told who they are next week and will be given one week to get their lives ready for lockdown, where they'll be removed from all contact from the outside world (including television) to quarantine them for entry into the BB House.

"This means they won't know most of the Olympic Games results until they're evicted."

Anticipation is mounting for the reality show's return, with its Facebook page already having more than 100,000 fans.
