A chance encounter with the music of Pnau while Sir Elton John was on tour in Australia has given him his first No.1 album in the UK for 22 years - and he's thanking them by inviting the electronic duo to perform with him in Sydney.

Sir Elton fell in love with Pnau's music after selecting their CD in a record shop in 2007 and promptly offered to take the pair to the UK.

With access to his back catalogue of music, what eventually emerged was the remix album Good Morning to the Night, with the title track one of the official songs to the London Olympic Games.

As part of Sir Elton's Australian tour he has now announced Pnau will join him on stage to perform some of the tracks from the album for one night only - in Sydney on November 16, with tickets on sale from Friday, September 21.
