Britney Spears has donated the silver dress she wore in an ad for her latest fragrance Radiance to an auction to raise money for a friend whose son has a brain injury.
Spears' assistant Brett tweeted the details of the eBay charity auction on her account.
"Such a great cause," he said.
"Brit donated her dress from the Radiance ad to our friend David, who started a trust for his son with a brain injury.
"He put the dress up for auction & all proceeds will go to his son's cause."
The family friend, David Van Daff, has a two-year-old son who was born with brain damage and now suffers from quadriplegic cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease and seizures.
Bidding in the auction, which runs until January 29, stood at $7300 yesterday.
