Jenner sued over fatal accident

Bruce Jenner is being sued by the family of a woman killed in a car crash in February.

The adult stepchildren of victim Kim Howe have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star after he allegedly smashed into her Lexus in February.

The accident caused Howe’s vehicle to collide head-on with a Hummer on the Pacific Coast Highway in California, killing her.

Howe’s stepchildren, who reportedly “had virtually no relationship” with their stepmother, have accused the 65-year-old Olympian of being “careless and negligent” and of speeding at the time.

They are seeking damages for loss of affection, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the accident but law enforcement sources previously claimed Jenner was driving below the speed limit.

Police officers, who obtained video of the crash, believe the star simply wasn’t looking when he hit the Lexus and it is reportedly unlikely he will be prosecuted.

Jenner expressed his devastation over the crash shortly after it occurred.

He said: “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident.

“It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time.

“I am praying for them. I will continue to co-operate in every way possible.”

The accident occurred amid mounting speculation Jenner was transitioning from male to female, which he confirmed during a two-hour television interview with Diane Sawyer last month.

Jenner won praise from celebrities and activists for the revelation.
