The worlds of yoga, fashion and society will combine tonight when a handful of VIPs gather for a fitness session with an edge.

Prominent Perth fashionista Emma Milner and her business partner Skaya Martino are opening up their new Sorrento space, 24/7 Lifestyle Studio, for a "yoga with beats" session, where a collection of well-known local identities will take part in a group class to a background of 90s hip-hop tunes.

Bruug designer and WAG Natasha Butler, blogger Rayne Embley and model Simone Kerr are just some of the names expected to turn out for the event, while former London DJ Kevin Lock will spin the decks.

And to stand out from the decadent parties and launches the guests are used to attending, Milner told Access All Areas they would be treated to nutrient-rich raw bites and cayenne and ginger shots.

"It really is a healthy event," she said. "I think one of the girls commented that they have never been to a Perth VIP social event before without having to wear a pair of heels.

"We will all be wearing Nike high tops instead and, rather than champagne, we will be having a smoothie."

Launched in February, the studio is centred around Milner's love of fashion and personal trainer Martino's passion for fitness, offering up a variety of new-age yoga classes alongside threads from edgy international labels.

As a well-known fixture on the WA social circuit, Milner said she was thrilled with the way local women were rallying around the business.

"There are so many fabulous Perth girls who support local businesses, WA fashion and retailers," she said.

"Now fit, strong and healthy is the new skinny and that trend is taking over.

"All these girls are interested in health, beauty, fitness and fashion, so it made perfect sense for them to come along and check out our concept."
