Kate Hudson's representative has slammed speculation her relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is on the rocks.
The US actress has been dating the British rocker since 2010 and they have a two-year-old son called Bingham together. They got engaged in April 2011 but haven't yet set a wedding date.
The New York Daily News claims they have been struggling recently because of their busy schedules and living arrangements.
Bellamy reportedly likes to be in his native UK while Hudson is happier in Los Angeles.
"Matt is pretty down-to-earth and happy in England, while Kate is very LA-focused," a source told the publication.
"They are leading separate lives. It hasn't been working out the way they planned and they've been trying very hard for the sake of their son."
Bellamy's spokesperson didn't get back to the publication with a comment, however Hudson's representative was quick to comment.
"It isn't true," the rep said.
The couple hasn't been seen at public events together much lately.
Hudson's work schedule is also intense, with the 34-year-old star having three movies which are due to start shooting soon.
Bellamy is also busy thanks to a series of planned shows with his band.
Hudson has always been open about her views on marriage. She is in no rush to walk down the aisle having previously been married to The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, who she divorced in 2007.
She was raised by her mother Goldie Hawn and her long-term partner Kurt Russell, who have never tied the knot.
"No, I'm planning nothing right now. I'm so busy, we've been so busy, and it's been great. I come from an unconventional family... My parents aren't married," she said in January.
