Bikini-clad pregnant Duchess snapped on beach

Photographs of a pregnant Duchess of Cambridge walking on a beach in a bikini could spark a bidding war among media outlets.

The new photos, reportedly showing duchess and her baby bump, were taken as she walked in the surf with Prince Williams on the Caribbean island of Mustique.

The couple, who have been enjoying a "babymoon" at an exclusive villa, are expecting their first child in July.

According to London's Mirror, the photographs also show Kate's sister Pippa in a bikini and could fetch more than 250,000.

While British media will not publish the controversial pictures, it is believed they could spark a bidding war in other parts of the world, including Australia and the United States, to buy them.

The photos come less than six months after the scandal surrounding the publication of paparazzi shots which showed the 31-year-old Duchess sunbathing topless in the south of France.

The royal couple flew to Mustique last week and are reportedly staying at a property with a weekly rental price tag of £19,000.

It is unclear whether the photographer was on the island, which offers top security to high-profile guests, or whether the first pictures of Kate's baby bump were taken from a boat offshore, according to the Mirror.

A Royal aide said: "This is unfortunate. They get absolutely no privacy whatsoever."
